Ingredients

  • 8 slices bread, crusts removed and buttered
  • 1/2 to 1 lb. shaved ham
  • 10 eggs
  • 1/2 to 3/4 lb. grated cheese (e.g., Colby)
  • 1/4 tsp. dried mustard

Instructions

  1. Place the buttered bread slices in the bottom of a 9 x 12-inch pan.
  2. Spread shaved ham and grated cheese evenly on top of the bread.
  3. Beat the eggs with milk and dried mustard until well combined.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the layered bread, ham, and cheese.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour until set and golden brown.
