Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ham
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1 (8 1/4 oz.) can sliced pineapple
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 4 slices American cheese

Instructions

  1. Cut the ham into 1/2-inch slices.
  2. Cook the bacon until crisp, then cut into quarters and set aside.
  3. Pour off all but 1 tablespoon of drippings from the pan.
  4. In the same pan, brown the ham on both sides.
  5. Drain the pineapple slices, reserving the syrup.
  6. Place one pineapple ring on each piece of ham.
  7. Add brown sugar to the reserved pineapple syrup.
  8. Pour the syrup mixture over the ham and pineapple in the skillet.
  9. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
  10. Spoon the syrup over the ham, then top with cheese slices and bacon pieces.
  11. Cover and cook until the cheese melts.
