Ingredients

  • 1 bone-in fully cooked ham (5 to 7 lbs)
  • Whole cloves
  • 2 cans (8 oz each) sliced pineapple, drained
  • Maraschino cherries with stems
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup peach or apricot nectar
  • 3 tablespoons cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Place the ham on a rack in a roasting pan.
  2. Score the surface of the ham with shallow diagonal cuts to create diamond shapes.
  3. Insert whole cloves into the diamond-shaped cuts.
  4. Secure pineapple slices and maraschino cherries on the ham with toothpicks.
  5. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, peach nectar, vinegar, and ground cloves to make the glaze.
  6. Spoon half of the glaze over the ham.
  7. Bake the ham, basting with remaining glaze as needed, until heated through and caramelized.
