Ham With Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. sliced cured ham
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 medium or large potatoes

Instructions

  1. Cut the ham into 2-inch pieces and lightly brown on the top burner.
  2. Place the browned ham in a triple kettle with water, sliced onion, and potatoes (scrubbed but not peeled).
  3. Add brown sugar and pepper to the mixture.
  4. Cook in Thermowell with 15 minutes of gas and 1 hour or longer of retained heat.
