Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1 tsp. celery salt
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. cooked rice
  • 1 can drained peas
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 3 or 4 strips bacon

Instructions

  1. Brown hamburger in 2 tablespoons butter.
  2. Add salt and celery salt.
  3. Add celery, onion and green pepper.
  4. Simmer slowly for 15 to 20 minutes.
  5. Place in casserole, cover with cooked rice, then layer of peas and top with tomato soup.
  6. Lay strips of bacon over top.
  7. Cover and put in oven at 350°.
  8. Cook 30 to 40 minutes. Remove cover and bake 5 to 10 minutes or until browned.
