Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 lb. hot sausage
  • 1 lb. Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt or powder
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 2 loaves party rye bread

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef and hot sausage in a skillet.
  2. Drain excess fat from the skillet.
  3. Add cubed Velveeta cheese, garlic salt, and oregano to the skillet with the meat.
  4. Stir until the cheese is melted and well combined.
  5. Spread the meat and cheese mixture on slices of party rye bread.
  6. Place the prepared bread slices on cookie sheets and freeze.
  7. Store the frozen Hankey Panks in a Ziploc bag for future use.
  8. To serve, bake in a 300°F oven for 10 minutes on a cookie sheet.
