Ingredients

  • 2 c. white sugar
  • 1 c. Karo syrup (white)
  • 2/3 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp. flavoring
  • food coloring (of your choice)

Instructions

  1. Mix the white sugar, Karo syrup, and water in a saucepan.
  2. Cook the mixture until it reaches hard crack stage (300°F).
  3. Remove from heat and add flavoring and food coloring.
  4. Pour the hot mixture onto a greased cookie sheet and let cool until lukewarm.
  5. Cut into pieces with scissors.
