Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Parkay spread
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 8-ounce package cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 1/2 cups chopped apples

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, brown sugar, 1/2 cup sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl; cut in Parkay spread until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Stir in chopped walnuts. Reserve 2 cups of crumb mixture; press the remaining mixture onto the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  3. Spread chopped apples evenly over the crust.
  4. Sprinkle the reserved crumb mixture over the apples.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for approximately 35 minutes or until golden brown.
