Ingredients

  • 4 c. coarsely chopped apples
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. vegetable oil or butter
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Combine apples and sugar in a bowl and let stand.
  2. Beat eggs slightly; beat in oil and vanilla.
  3. Mix flour, soda, cinnamon, and salt in a separate bowl.
  4. Stir the flour mixture into the apples and sugar mixture; add nuts.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased baking pan.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour.
