Ingredients

  • 2 lb. frozen hash browns, thawed
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • onions (optional)
  • grated cheese
  • 1 stick butter

Instructions

  1. Mix together the cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, onions (if using), and grated cheese in a large bowl.
  2. Spread the thawed hash browns evenly in a greased baking dish.
  3. Pour the soup mixture over the hash browns, spreading evenly.
  4. Melt the butter and pour it over the top of the casserole.
  5. Bake uncovered at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour.
  6. Remove from the oven and sprinkle corn flakes over the top (optional).
  7. Bake for an additional 15 minutes until the top is golden and crispy.
