- Cook the beef roast in water without salt until tender.
- Remove fat and bones from the cooked roast; drain off water and cut the meat into small chunks.
- In a large pot, boil the green and purple cabbage quarters and the chopped white onion for about 25 to 30 minutes without adding salt.
- Drain most of the liquid from the cooked vegetables.
- Add the chopped meat to the vegetable pot and pour in three-quarters of the soy sauce bottle.
- Cover the pot and simmer on low heat for 20 to 30 minutes.
