Ingredients

  • 2 lb ground venison
  • 1 medium potato grated
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 2 slices bread soaked in milk
  • salt
  • pepper
  • garlic salt
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 can mushrooms
  • flour (enough to make paste)
  • 2 cups beef bouillon
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 Tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 6 drops Tabasco sauce

Instructions

  1. Mix ground venison, grated potato, chopped onion, egg, soaked bread, salt, pepper, and garlic salt; form into meatballs.
  2. Brown the meatballs in hot fat, then remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté chopped onion.
  4. Add canned mushrooms and enough flour to make a paste; stir well.
  5. Pour in beef bouillon, add sour cream, tomato ketchup, Tabasco, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and oregano; bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat to simmer.
  7. Add the browned meatballs back into the skillet and simmer for 1 hour.
