Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 20 ounces crushed pineapple with juice
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Sift flour, baking soda, and salt into a large bowl.
  2. Add sugar, beaten eggs, and crushed pineapple with juice to the flour mixture.
  3. Stir in coarsely chopped nuts.
  4. Mix with a wooden spoon until the batter is moist and well combined.
  5. Pour batter into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  6. Bake in a preheated 350°F (175°C) oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool and frost with Cream Cheese Icing.
