Hazelnut Loaf Cake

- Grease a 9 1/4 x 5 1/4-inch loaf pan.
- Preheat oven to 350°. In large bowl, beat margarine, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs, one at a time.
- Add hazelnuts.
- Sift flour and baking powder together.
- Fold into mixture; mix thoroughly. Stir in brandy.
- Put batter into the greased loaf pan.
- Bake 1 to 1 1/4 hours or test with a wooden pick.
- Remove from pan and cool. Sift powdered sugar over cooled cake.
