Heavenly Ambrosia is a delightful and creamy fruit salad combining the sweetness of maraschino cherries, mandarin oranges, and pineapple with the lightness of Cool Whip and coconut. Ingredients

  • Marshmallows
  • Orange gelatin
  • Maraschino cherries
  • Coconut
  • Boiling water
  • Mandarin oranges
  • Pineapple

Instructions

  1. Drain the pineapple and reserve the liquid.
  2. Add cold water to the reserved pineapple liquid to measure 1 cup.
  3. Dissolve the orange gelatin in boiling water in a large bowl.
  4. Stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
  5. Stir in the measured pineapple liquid.
  6. Refrigerate the mixture for about 1 1/4 hours until partially set.
  7. Stir in Cool Whip with a whisk until smooth.
  8. Refrigerate for 10 minutes.
  9. Drain the mandarin oranges and maraschino cherries.
  10. Stir in the drained mandarin oranges, pineapple, cherries, marshmallows, and coconut.
  11. Chill for about 4 hours before serving.
