Herb Pinwheel Rolls
Herb Pinwheel Rolls are soft, flavorful bread rolls filled with sautéed onion and dill, perfect for breakfast, brunch, or as a savory snack for gatherings.

- Generously grease a large bowl and a 10-inch round baking pan.
- Sprinkle yeast over warm water in a large bowl; let stand until proofed and foamy, about 10 minutes.
- Stir in the scalded milk, sugar, and salt.
- Add 2 cups of flour; beat well.
- Add 1 more cup of flour; mix thoroughly.
- Turn out onto a lightly floured surface; knead in remaining flour until dough is smooth and satiny, about 10 minutes.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, turning to coat entire surface.
- Cover and let rise in a warm area until doubled in size, about 1 1/2 hours.
- Punch down the risen dough and roll it out into a rectangle.
- Spread sautéed onion evenly over the dough, sprinkle with dried dill weed.
- Roll up the dough tightly from one long side to the other, forming a log.
- Cut the log into 12 equal slices.
- Place the slices in the prepared baking pan, cut side up.
- Brush the tops with melted butter.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
