Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped salted herring
  • 4 medium potatoes cooked and chopped
  • 5 slices pickled beets chopped
  • 1 dill pickle chopped
  • 1 apple cored and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
  • 6 tablespoons sour cream

Instructions

  1. Toss all ingredients together in a bowl.
  2. Refrigerate for 3 hours to let flavors meld.
  3. Mound the salad on a platter.
  4. Garnish with sliced hard-boiled egg and chopped parsley before serving.
