Ingredients

  • 1 baked pie shell
  • 5 cups sliced strawberries
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 ounces package strawberry Jell-O

Instructions

  1. Make a paste of water and cornstarch.
  2. Add sugar to the mixture.
  3. Cook over medium heat, stirring, until the mixture boils.
  4. Continue to cook over low heat until the mixture is clear and thick.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Add the package of strawberry Jell-O to the mixture.
  7. Allow the mixture to cool.
  8. Place sliced strawberries in the baked pie shell.
  9. Pour the cooled mixture evenly over the berries.
  10. Chill the pie until set.
  11. Serve with whipped cream topping.
