Ingredients

  • 10 c. cucumbers, cut up
  • 4 c. cabbage, cut up
  • 1 lb. onions, cut up
  • 2 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. celery seed
  • 1 Tbsp. mustard seed

Instructions

  1. Put all ingredients in a large pan with 5 cups sugar and 1 cup vinegar. Stir well and let it come to a boil.
  2. Thicken the mixture with 5 heaping tablespoonfuls of flour and 1 cup vinegar. Mix well before adding to the pan.
  3. Stir in the thickening mixture and let it come to a boil again.
  4. Now put the pickles in jars and seal.
