Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 3 c. flour
  • 7 eggs
  • 3 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 7 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 3/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 3/4 c. coconut

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and 1 1/2 cups brown sugar.
  2. Add flour, mixing well.
  3. Press mixture into 12 x 17 x 2-inch pan and bake at 350° for 10 minutes.
  4. Beat eggs until thick.
  5. Add 3 1/2 cups brown sugar and mix well.
  6. Add remaining ingredients except powdered sugar and mix thoroughly.
  7. Pour over baked crust and bake an additional 30 minutes in 350° oven.
  8. Remove from oven and cool.
  9. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  10. Cut into bars.
