Holiday Magic Yams combine sweet yams with tangy cranberry sauce and peaches, enhanced by cinnamon and brown sugar for a festive, flavorful side dish perfect for celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 1 (16 oz.) can sliced cling peaches
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/3 cup liquid brown sugar
  • 1 can whole cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 (17 oz.) Royal Prince yams

Instructions

  1. Drain the yams and set aside.
  2. Drain the peaches, reserving the juice.
  3. Dissolve the cornstarch in 1/4 cup of peach juice; set aside.
  4. In an 11-inch skillet, heat the remaining peach juice, liquid brown sugar, cranberry sauce, cinnamon, and butter.
  5. When the butter is melted, add the cornstarch mixture.
  6. Stir over medium heat until the mixture is thickened.
  7. Add the yams, cover the skillet, and cook for 10 minutes.
  8. Stir in the peaches and cook for an additional 5 minutes or until heated through.
