Ingredients

  • 1 pound stew meat
  • 3 carrots
  • 3 stalks celery
  • 1 onion
  • Garlic salt
  • Pepper
  • Onion salt
  • Lemon pepper
  • Minced garlic
  • Water
  • Tomato juice

Instructions

  1. Combine stew meat, chopped carrots, celery, onion, garlic salt, pepper, onion salt, lemon pepper, minced garlic, tomato juice, water, and bay leaves in a large pot.
  2. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour or more, until the meat is tender and flavors meld.
  3. Add rice, cut beet tops, chopped onions, dill, and additional seasonings as desired during cooking.
  4. Once cooked, optionally stir in cream for added richness.
  5. Serve hot and enjoy.
