Creamy, chocolate-coated peanut butter candies with a crunchy or smooth texture, perfect for satisfying sweet cravings or sharing at parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. margarine
  • 2 c. peanut butter
  • 1/2 cake paraffin wax
  • 1 box confectioners sugar
  • 1 large bag chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Mix peanut butter and confectioners sugar in a bowl.
  2. Add melted margarine to the peanut butter mixture and combine thoroughly.
  3. Shape the mixture into small balls and chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour or longer.
  4. Melt chocolate chips and paraffin wax together until smooth.
  5. Use a bamboo skewer or similar tool to dip each peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate.
  6. Place the dipped candies on wax paper to set.
  7. Optional: Roll the chocolate-coated candies in chopped nuts if desired.
  8. Refrigerate or freeze to firm up before serving.
