Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 quart milk
  • 3 cups bread crumbs
  • butter
  • nutmeg
  • raisins and/or coconut (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar, eggs, and milk together.
  2. Add bread crumbs to the mixture.
  3. Dot the top with butter and sprinkle with nutmeg.
  4. Pour into a greased casserole dish and bake in a 375°F oven until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
