Ingredients

  • 1/4 stick butter
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup raisins or dates, chopped

Instructions

  1. Put butter, honey, water, and salt in a saucepan; blend cornstarch with 1/4 cup of this mixture.
  2. Return to saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened and it comes to a boil.
  3. Boil for 2 or 3 minutes, then remove from heat and cool.
