Creamy, cheesy, and flavorful, these hot cheese appetizers are perfect for gatherings or parties, offering crispy layers of cheesy goodness with fresh herbs that appeal to all ages.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf very thin bread
  • 1 Tbsp dill weed
  • 2 tsp parsley flakes
  • 1/2 tsp onion salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 2 c grated cheese (Cheddar)
  • 1 c butter

Instructions

  1. Remove crusts from bread slices.
  2. Mix dill weed, parsley flakes, onion salt, garlic salt, grated cheese, and butter until well blended.
  3. Spread the mixture on 3 slices of bread.
  4. Stack the slices to make 3-layer stacks.
  5. Repeat the process until all bread and filling are used.
  6. Cut through each stack to make 8 triangles.
  7. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 350°F (175°C) for 12 to 15 minutes.
  8. These appetizers can be made ahead and frozen.
  9. Do not cut before freezing.
