Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup margarine or butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • salt to taste
  • 4 eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Bring water and margarine or butter to a boil in a saucepan.
  3. Add flour and salt to the boiling mixture, stirring vigorously over low heat until the mixture forms a ball.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition until the batter is smooth.
  6. Drop teaspoonfuls of batter onto an ungreased baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  8. Remove from oven and serve hot.
