Hot Oyster Dip

A warm, flavorful oyster dip featuring creamy celery and sour cream, accented with Worcestershire and Beau Monde, perfect for entertaining or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 pt. fresh oysters
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1/2 c. chopped onions
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. Beau Monde
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Simmer all ingredients in a saucepan.
  2. In another large, heavy saucepan, mix 2 cans of celery soup and two 8-ounce cartons of sour cream.
  3. Heat the mixture slowly.
  4. Lift oysters and seasonings out of the first pan using a slotted spoon and stir into the soup mixture.
  5. Heat thoroughly.
  6. Serve in a chafing dish with toast points.
