Tips & Substitutions

For a creamier casserole, consider adding a tablespoon of cream cheese or replacing some of the sour cream with Greek yogurt. If you prefer a little crunch, try adding diced bell peppers or mushrooms. Adjust the cheese type to your liking; mozzarella or a spicy pepper jack can add a unique twist. If you want to boost the flavor, try incorporating garlic powder or Worcestershire sauce.

Serving Suggestions

This casserole pairs beautifully with a fresh Supper Salad for a balanced meal. For added flavor, serve it with a side of crusty garlic bread or a light vegetable side dish. You can also enjoy it as a comforting main dish alongside some steamed broccoli or green beans, enhancing the meal with more vegetables.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, cover the casserole with foil and bake at 350°F for about 20-25 minutes, or until heated through. You can also microwave individual portions, but be sure to add a splash of milk to keep it moist.
