Ingredients

  • 2 slices lean bacon
  • 1 small head cabbage, sliced very thin
  • 1 stalk celery, diced
  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. vinegar
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Cut bacon into small pieces and fry until slightly browned but not too crispy.
  2. Add sliced cabbage and diced celery to the bacon; turn frequently to absorb the fat without browning too much.
