Creamy, flavorful hummus with lemon, garlic, tahineh, and a hint of jalapeno for a spicy kick. Perfect as a snack, dip, or spread for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 1/2 oz.) chickpeas
  • 1/2 lemon juiced
  • 1 large clove garlic
  • 3 Tbsp. Tahineh
  • 1/2 tsp. cumin powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 jalapeno pepper without seeds (optional)
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil

Instructions

  1. Drain and wash the chickpeas.
  2. Boil the chickpeas in a little water until they are very soft.
  3. In a blender or food processor, combine cooked chickpeas, lemon juice, garlic, tahineh, cumin powder, salt, jalapeno (if using), and olive oil.
  4. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  5. Adjust seasoning as needed and serve.
