Ingredients

  • 1 (16 oz.) can garbanzo beans, drained
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 medium garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp. chopped onion
  • 1/4 tsp. paprika

Instructions

  1. In a blender or food processor fitted with the metal blade, combine 1/4 cup bean liquid and remaining ingredients.
  2. Process until mixture is a smooth paste.
  3. Add more liquid if needed to achieve desired consistency.
  4. Cover and refrigerate until chilled.
  5. Serve with crackers or pita bread.
  6. Use as a dip for crudités or as a stuffing for celery.
