Ingredients

  • 20 oz chickpeas
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tablespoons grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • chopped parsley
  • pita bread

Instructions

  1. Combine half of the chickpeas in a food processor or blender.
  2. Add all other ingredients except parsley to the processor.
  3. Puree until smooth, then add the remaining chickpeas and blend until well combined.
  4. Stir in chopped parsley, reserving a few tablespoons to sprinkle on top.
  5. Serve hummus with pita bread pieces.
