Ingredients

  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 cups cooked, drained chickpeas or canned
  • 4 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 to 5 tablespoons tahini sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Start your food processor and put in garlic.
  2. Once the garlic is minced, add chickpeas, lemon juice, salt, tahini, and cold water.
  3. Blend until smooth.
  4. Add more cold water if you want it thinner.
  5. Transfer the hummus into a shallow 6-inch wide bowl and smooth the surface.
  6. Sprinkle with paprika and cumin, then drizzle olive oil over it.
  7. Serve at room temperature with pita bread.
