Ingredients

  • 6 to 6 1/2 cups sifted flour
  • 6 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 2 sticks oleo melted
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 yeast cakes or 2 dry yeast packages
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3 eggs beaten

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm milk.
  2. Combine flour, sugar, salt, melted oleo, sour cream, and beaten eggs; add yeast and milk mixture and blend well.
  3. Divide dough into 4 or 5 parts, depending on desired length of nut roll.
  4. Roll each part about 1/4-inch thick.
  5. Spread with nut filling; roll up jelly roll fashion.
  6. Let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  7. Bake in a 350°F oven for 30 to 40 minutes.
