Ingredients

  • 8 slices buttered bread, ripped up
  • 1 cup milk
  • 12 eggs
  • 1.5 cups grated cheese
  • 1 small can chilies
  • 1 package ham (lunch meat)
  • 1/2 onion, chopped

Instructions

  1. Layer the torn buttered bread, chopped onion, ham, chilies, and grated cheese in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the milk and eggs, then pour evenly over the layered ingredients in the pan.
  3. Cover and let set overnight in the refrigerator.
  4. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Bake the casserole for 40 minutes to 1 hour until set and golden on top.
