Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 c. pecan halves
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Grease a foil-lined baking sheet.
  2. Melt butter in a 10-inch skillet over medium heat.
  3. Stir in pecans and sugar.
  4. Cook for 7 to 9 minutes, stirring constantly, until sugar is syrupy and golden brown and nuts are toasted.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
  6. Immediately spread the candy mixture in a thin layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Sprinkle with salt.
  8. Cool completely, then break into small nut clusters.
