Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate or vanilla cake mix
  • 1 cup caramels
  • 3/4 cup chocolate bits or chops
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Mix cake according to directions.
  2. Pour half of batter into the cake pan and bake for 20 minutes at 350°F or until set.
  3. Allow the cake to cool completely.
  4. Melt the caramels and pour over the cooled cake.
  5. Sprinkle chocolate bits on top of the melted caramels.
  6. Add chopped pecans over the chocolate bits.
  7. Pour the remaining batter over the toppings.
  8. Bake for an additional 30 to 35 minutes or until done.
