Ingredients

  • 1 brownie mix (without nuts)
  • 2 cups confectioners sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1/2 teaspoon mint extract
  • 3 drops green food coloring
  • 6 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Bake the brownie mix as directed in a 13 x 9-inch pan and allow to cool.
  2. Beat confectioners sugar, 1/2 cup butter, water, mint extract, and green food coloring until smooth.
  3. Spread this mint frosting over the cooled brownies in the pan.
  4. Mix 6 tablespoons of butter with chocolate chips.
  5. Melt the butter and chocolate chips in the microwave, stirring frequently until smooth.
  6. Pour the melted chocolate mixture evenly over the frosting layer on the brownies.
  7. Let the brownies cool overnight for the best cutting results.
