Instructions
- Line a cookie sheet with foil.
- Cover the foil with unsalted saltines, arranging 4 across and 7 to 9 down.
- Melt 1/2 cup butter in a saucepan.
- Mix the melted butter with 1 cup sugar.
- Stir continuously while boiling for 3 minutes.
- Pour the caramel mixture over the saltines.
- Then sprinkle 12 ounces of chocolate chips on top.
- Bake in the oven at 350°F for 2 minutes until the chocolate is melted.
- Spread the melted chocolate evenly over the top.
- Refrigerate for 2 hours or until the mixture is hard, then break into pieces.
