Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. pepperoni sausage
  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 Tbsp. mixed onion flakes
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. oregano leaves, crumbled
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 tsp. parsley flakes
  • 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 lb. spaghetti
  • grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Chop the pepperoni sausage finely.
  2. Heat the chopped sausage in a large skillet for 5 minutes.
  3. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
  4. Drain off excess fat from the skillet.
  5. Add canned tomatoes, tomato paste, water, onion flakes, and salt to the skillet.
  6. Simmer the mixture for 20 minutes or until it thickens.
  7. Add the crumbled oregano, chili powder, sugar, garlic powder, parsley flakes, and sliced mushrooms.
  8. Stir well and cook for another 5 minutes.
  9. Serve the meat sauce over hot, cooked spaghetti.
  10. Sprinkle each plate with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
