Italian Pepperoni Spaghetti
A hearty Italian-inspired spaghetti dish packed with flavorful pepperoni, ground beef, mushrooms, and a rich tomato sauce, perfect for comforting family dinners or casual gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. pepperoni sausage ⓘ
- 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 can tomatoes ⓘ
- 1 can tomato paste ⓘ
- 1 cup water ⓘ
- 2 Tbsp. mixed onion flakes ⓘ
- 2 tsp. salt ⓘ
- 1 tsp. oregano leaves, crumbled ⓘ
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. sugar ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder ⓘ
- 2 tsp. parsley flakes
- 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1 lb. spaghetti ⓘ
- grated Parmesan cheese ⓘ
Instructions
- Chop the pepperoni sausage finely.
- Heat the chopped sausage in a large skillet for 5 minutes.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
- Drain off excess fat from the skillet.
- Add canned tomatoes, tomato paste, water, onion flakes, and salt to the skillet.
- Simmer the mixture for 20 minutes or until it thickens.
- Add the crumbled oregano, chili powder, sugar, garlic powder, parsley flakes, and sliced mushrooms.
- Stir well and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Serve the meat sauce over hot, cooked spaghetti.
- Sprinkle each plate with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
