  • 1 lemon

Instructions

  1. Place the cheese, garlic, black pepper, and olive oil into the bowl of a food processor.
  2. Pulse for about 10 seconds to break the cheese into small pieces.
  3. Scrape the sides and pulse again until well combined.

Tips & Substitutions

To enhance the flavor, consider using aged Parmesan for a deeper taste. If you don't have Asiago, Pecorino Romano can be a good substitute. For a milder flavor, reduce the garlic cloves. Fresh herbs like oregano can also be added for a different twist. Make sure to chop the tomatoes and avocados just before serving to maintain their freshness.

Serving Suggestions

This Italian salsa is perfect as a dip with crusty bread or served alongside grilled meats. It pairs beautifully with Summer Italian Pasta Salad for a complete meal. You can also use it as a topping for bruschetta or as a filling in wraps. Serve with a chilled white wine to complement the flavors.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftover salsa in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. To reheat, gently warm over low heat, but avoid cooking to preserve the fresh flavors. This dish is best enjoyed cold, so consider serving it straight from the fridge.
