Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup margarine, softened
  • 3 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/3 cup strawberry jam
  • 1/4 to 1/3 cup finely chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Cream together margarine and cream cheese until light and fluffy.
  2. Add flour and mix well.
  3. Roll dough to 1/8-inch thickness on a lightly floured surface.
  4. Cut with a 2-inch round cutter.
  5. Place on a lightly greased cookie sheet with sides touching.
  6. Combine jam and chopped walnuts.
  7. Drop 1 to 2 teaspoons of jam mixture on each dough round.
  8. Fold opposite sides of the dough together and pinch with thumb and forefinger.
  9. Bake at 375°F for 15 minutes.
  10. Remove from oven and cool on a rack.
  11. Dust with powdered sugar while warm.
