Ingredients

  • 2 cups cranberries, cut in half
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup nuts, chopped
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Cut 1/2 cup of butter or margarine into 1 cup of flour as in pie crust.
  2. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of cold water.
  3. Mix with a fork, shape into a ball.
  4. Roll or pat out into two 12 x 3-inch strips, leaving 3 inches between strips, or leave in one piece.
  5. Pastry should be about 1/4-inch thick.
