Tips & Substitutions

For a richer flavor, consider adding sautéed onions or mushrooms to the pasta before mixing in the caramel. If you prefer a sweeter kugel, increase the sugar slightly. You can substitute capellini with thin egg noodles or even gluten-free pasta if necessary. Adjust the black pepper and cinnamon according to your taste for a more personalized flavor profile.

Serving Suggestions

Serve Jerusalem Kugel warm as a delightful side dish or a sweet treat. It pairs beautifully with Mediterranean recipes like Roasted Garlic And Almond Dip or can be enjoyed alongside a fresh salad. For a complete meal, consider serving it with a protein like roasted chicken or a vegetarian option like Vicky'S Spinach Pie.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. To reheat, place the kugel in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 15-20 minutes, or until warmed through. You can also microwave individual portions, but they may lose some texture.
