Jif Easter Nests

Sweet and crunchy Easter nests made with chow mein noodles, peanut butter, and syrup, perfect for festive treats and easy to customize with colorful candies.

Ingredients

  • 4 c. chow mein noodles
  • 1/2 c. light corn syrup
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. Jif creamy or crunchy peanut butter
  • jelly beans or other egg-shaped candies

Instructions

  1. In large mixing bowl, use your hands to break noodles into smaller pieces.
  2. In a large saucepan, combine sugar and syrup. Cook over medium heat until sugar is melted and edges begin to bubble.
  3. Add Jif peanut butter and stir until smooth.
  4. Pour mixture over noodles and toss to coat.
  5. Test mixture temperature carefully.
  6. With slightly buttered hands, form mixture into tight balls using approximately 1/4 cup of the mixture per ball.
  7. Make an indentation in the center of each ball to resemble a bird's nest.
  8. Place on waxed paper and allow to cool completely.
  9. Place 2 or 3 jelly beans or candies into each nest.
