Ingredients

  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 can fruit or 2 cups unsweetened fresh fruit

Instructions

  1. Melt margarine in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. Mix sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, and vanilla in a bowl.
  3. Pour the dry mixture over the melted margarine in the pan; do not stir.
  4. Pour fruit and juice on top of the dry mixture; do not stir.
  5. Let the fruit stand until juice comes up, if desired to sweeten.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour.
  7. Serve topped with ice cream or Cool Whip.
