Jiffy Hamburger Buns
Homemade whole wheat hamburger buns with a soft texture and slightly sweet flavor, perfect for sandwiches and burgers, suitable for family meals or casual gatherings.

Instructions
- Stir together 2 cups of flour and yeast.
- Heat milk, water, oil, honey, and salt until very warm (120° to 130°).
- Pour the warm mixture into the yeast and flour mixture.
- Beat for 3 minutes with an electric mixer or by hand 300 strokes.
- Add enough additional flour to make a soft dough.
- Beat well or knead briefly until smooth.
- Let the dough rest for 10 minutes.
- Roll out the dough to 1/2-inch thickness on a well-floured surface.
- Cut into 3 or 4-inch rounds using a canning jar ring or tuna can.
- Let the rounds rise on greased baking sheets for 30 minutes.
- Bake at 400°F (200°C) until lightly browned, about 12 to 15 minutes.
- Cool on racks before serving.
