John Garner Eggs is a rich, cheesy baked egg dish with bold flavors of paprika, mustard, and sharp cheese, perfect for brunch or special breakfast gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. heavy cream
  • 1/4 lb. sharp cheese, sliced 1/4 inch thick
  • 10 eggs

Instructions

  1. Mix together 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard, 1/2 teaspoon paprika, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 cup heavy cream.
  2. Cover the bottom of a 10 x 6 x 2-inch glass baking dish with the sliced cheese.
  3. Pour half of the cream mixture over the cheese.
  4. Break 10 eggs over the cream layer.
  5. Pour the remaining cream mixture over the eggs.
  6. Sprinkle grated cheese over the top.
  7. Bake in a slow oven at 325°F for 20 minutes or until the cheese melts and eggs are set.
  8. Alternatively, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate uncooked; bring to room temperature, uncover, and bake before serving.
