Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups plain flour
  • 1 1/2 sticks margarine
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 large carton Cool Whip
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese
  • 1 large package chocolate instant pudding
  • 3 cups cold milk

Instructions

  1. Mix flour and margarine with a pastry blender.
  2. Add 1/2 cup chopped nuts to the mixture.
  3. Press the mixture into a 9 x 13-inch pan to form the crust.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes and let cool.
  5. Prepare the pudding by mixing the chocolate instant pudding with 3 cups of cold milk.
  6. Spread the cooled crust with the cream cheese mixture made from cream cheese, powdered sugar, and Cool Whip.
  7. Layer the pudding over the cream cheese layer.
  8. Top with additional Cool Whip and chopped nuts if desired.
  9. Chill before serving.
